There is no fee to cancel a No Commitment Planet Fitness membership. If your membership has a minimum term and you end it before the term is over, Planet Fitness charges a $58 buyout fee. The $49 annual fee is separate: cancel at least 7 days before its date to stop it.

Classic and PF Black Card follow the same rule: Planet Fitness states no separate cancellation fee for either tier.
Does your membership have a minimum term?
Planet Fitness: “The Commitment length associated with your membership is the minimal number of months you will be billed. If you cancel before this time, you may be subject to a buyout fee.” Its membership page adds that memberships “may include 12-month commitment”. The club pages we checked on November 8, 2026, in New Caney, Texas; Hoboken, New Jersey; and New Albany, Ohio, show No Commitment memberships.

Two charges that are not a cancellation fee
- Your next monthly dues, if you cancel less than 7 days before your next billing date. Planet Fitness: “cancel your membership at least 7 days before your next billing date.”
