Cancel Planet Fitness by phone
Phone is not one of the ways Planet Fitness lists to cancel, and its customer service page gives no cancellation phone number. Cancel by a letter mailed to your home club, in person at your home club, or online in the member portal, at least 7 days before your next billing date.

Who to call with a question
- Your home club. Planet Fitness: “If your home club is open, your best source of billing or membership information is to contact them directly.” Its contact page asks you to select your club.
- Member Services, if your home club is closed. Open Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm Eastern. Planet Fitness says it will respond to your inquiry as soon as possible.
A call to either is not a listed way to cancel, and it leaves you nothing to show if a charge arrives later.

When state law gives you a phone option
- New York: General Business Law § 527-a(1)(d-1) says a business that signed you up in person “shall at least offer cancellation through an online mechanism or over a telephone number”.
- New Jersey: a new health club contract can be cancelled for any reason before midnight of the third operating day, including by phone to the club where you signed (N.J.S.A. 56:8-42(e)).

Planet Fitness says to contact its Member Services department, open Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm Eastern. It says Member Services will respond as soon as possible.
Can I cancel Planet Fitness by email instead?
